Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located in the vibrant heart of Los Angeles at 11033 Santa Monica Blvd, Pita Café offers a delightful journey into the rich and flavorful world of Mediterranean and Persian cuisine. This charming eatery is a true gem for both locals and visitors seeking authentic dishes that celebrate the freshest ingredients and traditional recipes.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or settling in for a relaxed meal, the café’s intimate setting provides a comfortable backdrop for enjoying its diverse menu.

The menu dazzles with a variety of savory options designed to satisfy every craving. Their famed Falafel Bowl, praised by guests as some of the best falafels around, features perfectly crisped chickpea patties accompanied by fluffy rice, refreshing Shirazi salad, and creamy hummus drizzled with velvety tahini sauce—every bite a harmonious blend of textures and bright, vibrant flavors. The Chicken Shawarma Bowl is a standout as well, boasting tender, juicy morsels of chicken served alongside fragrant rice, cool Shirazi salad, and velvety hummus—each forkful bursting with aromatic spices and a touch of citrus.

Those craving heartier fare can indulge in the Lamb Gyro Bowl, where succulent lamb meets the refreshing bite of tzatziki sauce, creating a balanced medley of savory and tangy that lingers delightfully on the palate. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared, emphasizing fresh, quality ingredients, from the house-made lemon dressings on crisp salads like the Tabbouleh and Shirazi, to the rustic warmth of grilled pita bread and perfectly seasoned sides such as grilled veggie skewers and grilled jalapeños.

Customer reviews echo the consistent quality and welcoming vibes that keep patrons returning. One satisfied diner shared that Pita Café’s falafels were the best they’ve ever had, highlighting the restaurant’s standout ability to elevate a classic dish. Another praised the friendly and efficient service, noting how the staff makes every visit feel personal and enjoyable, whether dining in or taking food to go. The generous portions and fresh flavors make the slightly higher price point feel entirely justified, turning every meal into a worthwhile indulgence.

It’s a spot where the warmth of the kitchen and the care of the staff meet to create an experience that nourishes both body and soul. I work in the close by and would say this is one of my favorite lunch options in the area. Service here is always really fast and the lady behind the counter was very friendly today when I picked up my lunch. There are tables inside if you want to dine in, but most usually choose to go. It’s in a small shopping center so there is free parking right out front. The menu is really large and it has a lot of options on it. I decided to do the #28 Combo Kabob and really loved it. I liked how it had three different meats and I especially liked the shish kebab. I would recommend this little spot for a great quick and casual lunch, the portion sizes are always generous too.

Cute little cafe with friendly people working here. The service is fast, the food is actually good too - fresh, big portions. My fries was perfectly seasoned and cooked - KFC type of breaded fries. Chicken shawarma had a nice taste, was tender and juicy. The price is on the higher side but the food is worth it. There is nothing bad I can say about this business. Recommended

Very consistent experience usually. Got the mix shawarma plate. Only feedback would that the meat was a bit salty this time. Hope next time its like usual. Their rice is really good too. Hummus and Baba ganoush were great too.

Looking for some Mediterranean food while visiting the area. I tried walking into other places but the atmosphere and options didn't feel right until I stumbled upon this place! Food was excellent and plentiful, the people at the counter were courteous and the atmosphere was just right. Would visit this place again if ever back visiting...

Really wished I knew the names of our servers (brunette lady and man) as they were genuinely so friendly and kept checking in on us. Food was incredible for the price ranges. Highly recommend the beef kabob, as well as the hummus. Also to note, I love that they have fresh juices (orange, celery, cucumber and apple etc.) which is very niche to find in restaurants! Will definitely be coming back! Glad to have found this middle eastern cuisine gem.

This place is definitely the new go to for us! We both got the salmon kabob and everything was so good - salmon, hummus, rice, salad, pita! The little sauces they brought out were ridiculously good - highly recommend putting the green one on everything. Will definitely be coming back here many times!
